Continuity

Continuity is where each different shot relates to the previous shot, to make sense with no gaps its goes in chronological order. For example if a person in the movie was going on a trip to florida on a plane it would take about 24 hours, you wouldnt film for 24 hours you would film the person packing their stuff, boarding the plane, on the aeroplane and then getting off of the plan all in different shots but in chronological order making the story to the audience make sense.
